29. What would you say is your best quality?

This can end up going super badly, honestly, so idk about best quality, and I know it sounds contradictory when you’ve all heard me bang my head against walls over how volatile I am, but the truth is I am really really devoted and passionate when there’s something or someone I love

Lmao I actually don’t know. Like, the obvious ones I guess? Talk to myself out loud, imagine conversations, dance and sing a lot… idek. I can’t really think of anything actually weird.

The internet. Full stop. I can sort of live without my computer (though in the long run it’d be an issue too) but I need at least a phone with internet, bc it’s not so much about the internet itself by this point, it’s about the people I need to talk to and it’s just not possible otherwise.

Beauty. This is such an abstract concept but I mean beauty around me, beauty in the place I live, things I can appreciate—I was born and lived most of my life in a city with no beauty that I ended up hating with every fiber of my being, and now that I live here everything is much, much different.

I am gonna cut it off there bc I can’t think of any others? I am trying to think of things I really can’t live without, as opposed to things like tea or eyeliner that I love and would rip my hair out of my scalp without but I wouldn’t die

BUT I HAVE SO MANY. Ugh, let’s see, the first one that always comes to mind is this one from García Márquez’s 100 Years of Solitude:

I don’t know if it counts as a favorite quote but it’s definitely stayed w/ me, because it haunts me and scares me, and I have a srs issue with memory and ephemerality and volatility so that quote is just, I don’t know

I don’t want to agree with what it says, but it’s always on the back of my mind

I like a lot of nicer, prettier quotes, quotes that encompass who I am and how I feel, there are probably quotes that are closer to me, but idk, this is always one of the first that comes to mind

i love my grandparents very much but i can’t be in their house for more than a couple days bc the environment is Not Good for me
there’s some sort of spanish prince or something in our family tree like five or six generations back idk
my uncle has had lunch with the current pope
i only talk to my dad about once a month even though he used to be the person i trusted the most when i was a lot younger
my mom and i are basically the same person
i have no siblings and only two cousins anywhere near my age, whom i never saw much (and still don’t), so i grew up pretty much alone w/ only school friends and stuff
my mom has a half-brother i only learned about last year
my aunt is an awful religious fanatic
IDK WHAT ELSE TO SAY HERE, um the only reason my mom married my dad in the first place was bc she was pregnant w/ me they were not a match like at all
